Armani Beauty has named ex-Lancôme executive Richard Pinabel its Global Brand President.
Pinabel succeeds Véronique Gautier at the L’Oréal-owned company, who has stepped down after 13 years at the helm.
He will be responsible for taking the brand’s “vision for beauty to new heights”, said L’Oréal Luxe President Cyril Chapuy.
Pinabel has 25 years’ experience working in L’Oréal’s Luxe division, having served as Global Deputy GM of Lancôme for the past four years.
Other leadership positions within the group include GM for YSL Japan and Global President of Shu Uemura.
As well as orchestrating the launch of fragrance FlowerBomb by Viktor&Rolf in the US in 2006.
Pinabel began his career at Armani Beauty in 2002 as Directeur Marketing International GA Parfums.
“Armani Beauty is the representation of sophisticated and timeless elegance – a major player in the beauty industry,” said Pinabel.
“I approach this opportunity with great humility and passion.
“I am eager to accompany the brand towards future successes under the visionary guidance of Giorgio Armani.”
Chapuy added that he is “confident” in Pinabel’s abilities “to preserve and nurture the fantastic heritage and the incredible achievements of the brand.”
