German consumer goods company Henkel has appointed Rahmyn Kress as Chief Digital Officer.

Kress, due to join in Q2, will spearhead Henkel's plan to “accelerate digitalisation”, as the company aims to grow its business and strengthen relationships with customers through optimising digital activity.
In his new role, Kress will focus on driving digital scale, building digital capabilities and leading digital projects across the company. He will report directly to Henkel's CEO Hans Van Bylen.
Van Bylen said: “We are pleased that Rahmyn Kress will join our global team. His knowledge and skills will help us to further accelerate our digital strategy.”
Kress has more than 25 years' experience in developing and implementing digital strategies across multiple industries.
He has a PhD in Finance Management and Organizational Behavior, as well as a master's degree in Business Administration from the American University in London.
Prior to his role at Henkel, he held several positions at management consulting company Accenture, with the most recent being Managing Director of Accenture Technology Ecosystems and Ventures in Europe.
Before joining Accenture, he was the Senior Vice President of Physical and Digital Operations at Universal Music Group.
Van Bylen added: “This appointment marks another step in implementing our strategic priorities for Henkel through to 2020 and beyond.”
