La Mer has named Taiwanese singer Jay Chou as its first-ever male ambassador.
The 45-year-old will promote the Estée Lauder Companies-owned (ELC) skin care brand’s The Treatment Lotion and The Hydrating Infused Emulsion products in his first campaign.
“La Mer’s skin philosophy really resonates with me,” said Chou.
“I believe that youth is not fleeting; it’s timeless. With La Mer, the youthful energy of skin care can be recharged.
“I am so excited to partner with La Mer and celebrate the brand’s belief that self care is for everyone.”
Chou released his debut album, Jay, in 2000 and has gone on to become one of Taiwan’s most popular artists, selling more than 30 million records.
The ‘Mojito’ singer joins Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh, South Korean actress Jun Ji-hyun and Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas as an ambassador for La Mer.
This will be his first beauty partnership. He worked with fashion house Dior as a global ambassador for the luxury brand in 2023.
Chou’s appointment comes as ELC recently hired singer IU as its first Korean Global Ambassador for its Estée Lauder brand.
