Saks, the e-commerce platform of luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue, is boosting its wellness efforts in 2022 with the launch of a new Wellness Shop to its website.
Said to emphasize a holistic approach to wellness, the store showcases more than 100 brands – 50 of which are new to Saks – across a wide variety of products and sectors, from beauty supplements and aromatherapy aids to fitness apparel, kitchen tools and sexual wellness products.
The store focuses on four 'key pillars' of wellness, including Fitness, with an assortment of athletic apparel and accessories from the likes of Hyperice, Beyond Yoga and Soul Cycle to help consumers meet their new year's fitness goals; Health & Nutrition, offering beauty and wellness supplements from Vitamix and The Good Patch alongside kitchen tools and cookbooks; Sexual Wellness, which highlights feminine care from Dr. Barbara Sturm as well as sex toys by Maude and Lelo and menopause therapy from Joylux; and Rest and Relaxation, designed to help customers unwind with aromatherapy and sleep products including therapeutic fragrances from Vyrao, sleep supplements by Hush & Hush, weighted blankets and sleep machines.
Tracy Margolies, Chief Merchandising Officer at Saks, commented: "A holistic, all-encompassing approach to health is essential.
“With the addition of this new shop and products, we are now able to serve multiple aspects of the luxury customers' lifestyle, from fashion to wellbeing."
Meanwhile, to celebrate the launch, Saks is also hosting a number of events with wellness experts through its Saks Live app, running from tomorrow until 19 January.
Kicking off on 11 January with a discussion of Energetic Fragrances with Yasmin Sewell, founder of crystal-inspired fragrance brand Vyrao Fragrance, and Lousie Mita, Quantum Energist, talks will include Plant-Based Beauty with the founders of skin care gummy supplement brand Imarais, Sommer Ray and Fecicia Hershenhorn; as well as as Q&A with Dr Nigma Talib, a 'naturopathic' doctor and founder of her eponymous skin care and supplement brand.
In addition, there will also be a workout session conducted by celebrity trainer Isaac Boots and Zara Terez Tisch, founder of activewear brand Terez, as well as lifestyle tips from High Performance Lifestyle founder Brian Mazza.
The launch comes as Saks is reportedly seeking a $6bn IPO as it prepares to go public, following the online business' split from its physical store counterpart in March last year in a bid to capitalise on the surge in e-commerce sales.
