Although they may be a small part of the overall package, caps and closures for cosmetics products have a crucial role to play. 

Providing the point at which the product transfers from the packaging to the consumer, they must not only protect the formula, ensuring no contamination or spillages, but also ensure that the product is dispensed to the end user as the brand intended.

And as with all cosmetics packaging, they must do all this with minimal impact on the environment. 

In this area, there are still challenges to overcome: a 2023 survey by Nivea revealed that one in three (33%) British consumers said that confusion about which products can be recycled prevents them from recycling their bathroom products.
