True Botanicals has appointed American actress Jessica Chastain as its latest brand ambassador.
The Interstellar and Law & Order star is the face of the Californian skin care brand's new Phyto Retinol Sleep Serum.
It is formulated with Peptilium, a cranberry-based ingredient marketed as an alternative to retinol, which the brand said targets wrinkles without irritation.
Chastain will feature on billboards in Los Angeles, Seattle and New York, as well as star in television adverts on streaming platforms Peacock, Hulu and Paramount+.
“Jessica is a powerful, sophisticated and principled tastemaker who has been a sustainability advocate and vegan for more than 15 years,” said True Botanicals in a statement.
“Those shared values around safety for humans, animals and the planet are what brought Jessica and True Botanicals together for this partnership.”
A range of True Botanicals products
True Botanicals announced the collaboration with Chastain on social media.
“My skin looks its absolute best when I am living a clean and holistic lifestyle,” said Chastain in the campaign video.
“And that is why I love True Botanicals.
“Their products are vegan, which is very important to me.
“They have a bioholistic approach and it really works.”
Last year, True Botanicals secured Series B investment from growth equity firm NextWorld Evergreen to accelerate its retail footprint.
As well as ramp up distribution and “advance its mission” around its social and environmental impact.
