Voya, a luxury seaweed skin care brand based in Ireland, has named Cindy Childers as its Sales and Business Development Manager for the US.
The family run company appointed Childers taking into account her extensive industry experience. Childers has amassed more than 20 years in sales roles, starting her career at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company. At the same time, Childers was studies for a BA in Business Management at Virgina Intermont College. Childers’ other roles include NAM at Universal Companies, where she worked for six years.
Childers has been taken on by Voya in order to help build the brand’s following in the US, specifically in the luxury beauty and wellness scene. Speaking about her appointment, Childers said: “‘I am thrilled to bring my energy, knowledge and drive to the Voya Team. Consumers these days really care about their health, well-being and of course, the products they use.
“Voya prides itself on going above and beyond to create quality organic products for their customers – from sea to skin. I believe in this brand and look forward to a long and successful relationship with Voya and its customers.”
Voya has been building its international presence over the past few years; in 2014, it partnered with Irish airline Aer Lingus to provide those that fly with a Travel Set as part of the airline’s in-flight retail range.
Meanwhile, in February this year, the company appointed Holly Ferguson as International Trainer, bringing with her a wealth of experience from her tenures at Steiner, Elemis, NUDE Skincare, Space.NK.apothecary and ESPA.
Voya continues to take strides into new spa settings, with the brand securing a deal at the Temple Lodge & Spa at the end of last month. It entered Ashford Castle as a spa partner in February.
The brand is being recognised for its spa services and in March was awarded IMAGE Magazine’s Business of Beauty Award for Most Innovative Spa Brands for 2016. Voya’s Co-founda Kira Walton collected the award.
