Rabanne has appointed singer Troye Sivan its first-ever Global Make-up Brand Ambassador.
The Australian songwriter and actor stars in the luxury brand’s ‘nudes: a next-generation beauty collection' campaign which will promote its 30-shade Fresh Touch Foundation line, among other products.
The partnership comes a year after the Puig-owned perfume and fashion house broke into beauty with its debut cosmetics collection and dropped Paco from its name.
Sivan is a two-time Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and actor, with a combined social media audience of 39 million.
The star was chosen because he has “established himself as a global icon in the worlds of music, fashion and LGBTQIA+ representation,” read a statement from Rabanne.
“Along with standout roles in several Hollywood feature films, Troye has also worked on several high fashion collaborations and appeared on runways around the world.”
Sivan sports a fresh make-up look in the visuals created by Rabanne Beauty’s Creative Director Diane Kendal.
The campaign message of #NoFilterBeauty is designed to “galvanise the next generation with greater self-empowerment as they uncover their real selves,” read a statement from Rabanne.
Sivan is a fan of Rabanne, having worn the brand in his ‘Rush’ music video and appeared at the house’s SS24 show wearing La Maison’s new season designs.
“I have always been attracted to Rabanne’s effortless vibe,” said Sivan.
“I love to play and express myself, and I have actively worked over the years to unlearn any restrictions I put on myself when it comes to fashion and beauty.
“Something about Rabanne just feels very right to me personally, and their approach to fashion and beauty is aligned with mine.”
Sivan is no stranger to beauty either, having launched his own fragrance and homeware line last year.
